For quite a long time, podcasts were seen as a boy-zoned affair. But today women have been a vital force behind podcasting especially with a recent wave of podcasts directed towards feminism, women’s issues, gender equality, and equality. From hosts to audience demographics and subject matter, male-centric perspectives still dominate the top spots of podcasting lists. Now, now more, for women have paved a path to rise through and voice their rights. From issues of gender equality, equity, feminism, history, mental health, sexual wellness, relationships, and pop culture, these podcasts assure that marginalised voices are being heard. Here are some of the podcasts hosted by women who are done keeping quiet.

1) Fat So?
Two beautiful, body-positive people, Ameya and Pallavi discuss the pain, the joy, the learning of being fat in their podcast Fat So?. Their conversations range from body image complex, societal norms, working hard at self love, failing at weight loss, loneliness, food, love and sex and so much more.

2) Vision Nari:
The Vision-Nari podcast is hosted by Swati Rawat. In the podcast she interviews women leaders, entrepreneurs, and visionaries across fields to learn about their lives and inspirations. This is a platform for women to exhibit their journey, struggle so that they could set an example for others.

The idea occurred to Swati when she couldn’t find any  podcasts that featured stories and achievements of Indian women. This made her do the podcast exclusively focusing on women. Her efforts are an attempt to understand the impulse, inspiration, and the story behind the unique vision of women

3) Chuski Pop
Chuski Pop is a bi-monthly podcast hosted by Sweety and Pappu. They are two Indian chicks who are riding the fourth wave of feminism.Every episode of Chuski Pop starts with a dialogue from the ’80s that sets the tone of the podcast. Both of them then pick up a current event or any experience they have had in the recent times to begin a casual conversation — that they make you a part of.

They could be talking about female friendships in one podcast while toe-gunk in another one and marriage in yet another hot pic. The most attractive element of Chuski Pop is the use of personal experiences to talk about and link it to feminism and equality. Sweety and Pappu depend on the relatability of these daily experiences stressing on feminism.
